Seasoned Tofu with Fresh Green Beans and Rice

At our home, we eat our fair share of tofu. Having the option of a shelf stable tofu that stays fresh with no preservatives is a huge plus for our family. Mori-Nu tofu is gluten free and is made with NonGMO soybeans.

Official Rules: Silken Tofu is not a tofu that can be pressed, in fact this particular tofu is made right inside its packaging. I also love that the tofu comes in an organic variety as well!

Seasoned Tofu with Fresh Green Beans and Rice
 
Ingredients
  • 1 package of extra firm Mori-Nu tofu, cut into cubes
  • 1 T Olive Oil Bragg’s Amino – to season
  • 3 cups fresh green beans, with ends cut off
  • 2 cups steamed rice
  • Sesame Seeds – optional for garnish
Instructions
  1. Using a steamer, steam the fresh green beans until they are al dente.
  2. Remove tofu from package. Carefully cut tofu into cubes. Heat skillet over medium heat. Add oil to skillet. Gently add the tofu to the hot oil. Gently saute until tofu begins to brown.
  3. While tofu is cooking, divide the steamed rice between 4 plates.
  4. Top with cooked green beans.
  5. When tofu starts to become a golden brown color add Bragg’s Amino for seasoning. Start with 1 T and add to your liking.
  6. After all seasoning is absorbed, divide tofu among the 4 plates. Top with sesame seeds as a garnish. ENJOY!
